Over the seven-year life of the project, besides publishing a free searchable public website and making reports on nonprofits, charities and philanthropies freely available to the public, Benefacts created data, information, analysis and analytics solutions for people working in the nonprofit sector, in Government and in the private sector.

Comprehensive datasets were provided quarterly under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Irish Central Statistics Office, to feed into the production of the National Accounts.

Individual bespoke analysis reports were provided on request to a wide range of clients in the public, private and third sectors.

With co-funding from the Departments respectively of Employment & Social Protection, Foreign Affairs and Health, Tusla and Kildare and Fingal County Councils, a data analytics service was devised, tested and rolled out to six public sector bodies to support policy, financial control, audit and risk management processes. Directories of State funding to Irish nonprofits were developed as a further initiative of the Benefacts Analytics project. These used the latest available data from 10 State bodies, matched to 2,458 nonprofits in Benefacts database to provide the first and only extensive, free public access to State funding for irish nonprofits.
